This site has been tested with the following browsers:

Flash

Parts of this site require the Adobe Flash Player to be installed and enabled. On the home page there are three tabs located top left. If you click the advanced tab and you cannot view the map of the UK, you need to install "Flash" for your browser. You should consult the "Help" section of the browser you are using.

Searching

You can perform three types of search: Basic, Advanced and Postcode. Click the appropriate tab located top left on the "Home Page".

Basic Search allows you to input a forename, a surname and an area. You then have the choice to search Electoral Roll, Births, Marriages, Deaths and Company Directors' Addresses.

Advanced Search allows you to input a forename, a surname and a postcode prefix. Whilst in "Advanced" mode you can also run your cursor over the map of the UK and click on an area and it will automatically insert the postcode prefix. You then have the choice to search Electoral Roll, Births, Marriages, Deaths and Company Directors' Addresses.

Postcode Search will display results for all registered households in that postcode.

Results

When you click the "Find Now" button you should notice a loading bar that states "Retrieving Data". Once the results are displayed, at the head of most columns are arrows allowing you to "sort by". You will also be able to "View" other registered household members as well as neighbours. Historic Electoral Roll and Postcode Search show the approximate years of residence at an address.

At the bottom of each results page there are two buttons allowing you go back one page or search again. You can also reset a search at any time by clicking The "Look Up People" logo that is to the top left on all pages.
